These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of YoHugo ("we", "our", "us"), accessible at yohugo.com and via the YoHugo iOS app. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
YoHugo is an AI-powered recipe and meal-planning platform. The service allows you to:
Some features are available to guests without an account. Full access, including saving recipes and premium features, requires a registered account.
You must be at least 13 years old to use YoHugo. By using the service, you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you should have parental or guardian consent.
You can create an account using your email address, or by signing in with Google or Apple. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account.
You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account and to update it if it changes. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
Guests (users without an account) may use AI recipe generation up to 2 times per week. After reaching this limit, you will be invited to create a free account to continue using the service. Guest usage data is not saved or synced across sessions.
Certain features of YoHugo require a paid subscription. Subscriptions are billed on a monthly basis.
"User Content" means any recipes, notes, or other material you create or save within YoHugo. You retain ownership of your User Content. By using the service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and display your content solely to provide the service to you.
We do not claim ownership of your recipes or sell your content to third parties.
YoHugo can import and parse recipe content from external websites and social media platforms. This is done solely to provide you with a structured format, ingredient list, and estimated prices. We do not claim ownership of third-party content. Where available, a link to the original source is displayed.
If you are a content owner and believe your content has been used improperly, please contact us via our contact form.
Many recipes, ingredient suggestions, and cooking instructions are generated using the OpenAI API. While we aim for quality and accuracy, AI-generated content may contain errors, incomplete information, or unsuitable suggestions. You are solely responsible for reviewing and verifying any recipe before preparing or consuming it.
YoHugo is not responsible for any adverse outcomes arising from AI-generated content, including but not limited to allergic reactions, dietary concerns, or cooking results.
Supermarket price estimates are provided for informational purposes only and are currently available to UK users. Prices shown are estimates only and may not reflect current, actual prices at any specific store or location. We do not guarantee pricing accuracy and accept no liability for decisions made based on price estimates shown in the app.
You agree not to use YoHugo to:
The YoHugo name, logo, design, and underlying software are our intellectual property and may not be reproduced or used without our written permission. This does not affect your ownership of your User Content.
YoHugo is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the content is always accurate, complete, or up to date.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, YoHugo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to loss of data, incorrect pricing, food-related outcomes, or reliance on AI-generated content.
You may delete your account at any time from your account settings or by contacting us. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, without notice and at our sole discretion.
On account deletion, your saved recipes and personal data will be permanently removed from our systems within 30 days, subject to any legal retention obligations.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from your use of YoHugo shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
We may update these Terms from time to time as the service evolves. We will notify registered users of material changes by email or through the service. Continued use of YoHugo after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
